Having found out that Chester Zoo will no longer be holding weddings from 2018, I thought I would share a wedding I photographed their last month.
This was the wedding of Leanne and Mark. they married at a lovely church in Eastham, followed by a relaxed reception at Chester Zoo, after a few group photos, the happy couple and myself took a walk round some of their favourite parts of the zoo. The Japanese Gardens always prove popular and made for a lovely backdrop.
After our stroll, they enjoyed a very yummy afternoon tea, of which I was lucky enough to be provided my lunch. The happy couple and their guests were treated to a private Zoo tour and BBQ once the zoo closed, with an Irish band kicking off the night time celebrations.
Mark & Leanne were an amazing couple, friendly, happy and open to ideas when it came to taking their photos. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and even left with some wedding cake at the generous insistence of the bride. I can confirm it was delicious.
