Chris & Olivia's Boho Elegant Wedding
Olivia & Chris, The Bride & Groom had a clear plan for their big day & as soon as they started speaking about their wedding, I knew it was going to be one to remember. With big plans for the reception in a beautiful canvas marquee. The bride also made one very special, yet slightly unusual request, could we get some bridal couple pictures with some cows, Olivia had done her research & knew where they would be on the day, I was more than happy to go along to the Cows, anything different or quirky is a treat to photograph.
When the day itself arrived, the heavens opened. The bride & Groom booked my Gold package, so I went along to a local pub a stones throw from the Church, St Mark's Church, Dunham Massey, about 45 minutes before the ceremony. I always take candid pictures at this time & let everyone carry on prepping & capture things as they happen. I took lots of shots of the Groom with his groomsmen enjoying a last drink & mingling with the guests. Once at the Church, we waited for the bridal party's arrival. The rain really kicked up a notch & the groomsmen gallantly stepped in with brollies & assistance for the bridesmaids & the beautiful bride, Olivia.
Determined to make the most of her entrance, the bride cast the brollies aside & proudly & excitedly greeted her flower girls as she prepared for her walk up the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful & St Mark's Church provided a stunning backdrop for photos & the happy couple were married. Despite the rain, the happy couple were received by their guests in an awesome confetti tunnel, through which Chris carried his new bride. After a few relaxed group photos inside the church due to the rain, a couple of quick couple photos outside, I followed the newlyweds along to the Cows for a few photos, the spot Olivia had chosen for the 'Cow pictures' was perfect, it even stopped raining & a few of the Cows even seemed to pose behind the happy couple. I like to keep things relaxed so we just enjoyed the view & I snapped away.
Once we arrived at the reception field, I was blown away by the awesome Marquee, provided by The Canvas Tent Company, The decor was gorgeous, with a perfect blend of rustic elegance with cool boho vibes & touches. We had a few impromptu group shots & a stolen moment of the bride & groom together provided some fabulous portraits, I pretty much try & capture the rest of the day in a documentary style with an arty edge. The speeches were funny, sad & raucous all at the same time, the food, dancing & music were sublime. After an impressive first dance lift & confetti cannon I left the new Mr & Mrs & their guests to party the night away, bathed in the glorious post storm sunshine & sunset glow.
