Carrie Spear, Owner of Spear Photography  

Hello, my name is Carrie Spear. I started Spear Photography back in 2013.  At the time, I was leaving a prestigious career as a Solicitor, taking the leap to use my attention to detail, hyper focus on the bigger picture & vast experience of dealing with people, to fully embrace my creative desire to capture beautiful imagery through photography.

 

I also wanted to ensure that I provide excellent service to my Clients & leave them feeling fantastic & with a precious collection of images of their beautiful wedding day.

I married my husband at Ruthin Castle back in 2012 & we have been together for nearly 23 years, we have an awesome 10 year old son & 2 beautiful little Chihuahuas, I'm originally from North London, we live in Great Sutton after moving to this part of the world over 20 years ago.

 

I love photography & love the physical process of observing a scene or subjects & taking beautiful natural photos of moments as they happen, I use alot of candid photography to help capture the story of the events I photograph. I am quite relaxed and calm when I photograph, however I can also give direction when needed, sometimes when organising a group photo of 100 plus people, this is most definitely needed.

When I photograph your wedding, special event or new arrival I want you to enjoy the process & my main focus is ensuring you do, this shows in the final images. I have a passion for fashion & beauty & the more fashion forward or quirky your wedding, the more I will adore photographing it. I love a glamourous elegant wedding, my favourite stylle to photograph is probably black tie, as I think a tux alwats looks fab & the guests always really bring the glam too. However I also love a city centre, party affair.

I am also flexible with my packages, I get asked to photograph lots of different types of weddings, from a few hours of coverage with 20 guests at a City Centre registry office & then a private party, to being with a bride from early in the morning till after the happy couple have their first dance in the evening with over 150 guests at a grand country manor.

I appreciate that all Clients are unique and tailor each shoot specifically to help enhance and compliment the subject, whoever or whatever they may be. I receive excellent feedback from my bridal couples and their families and friends upon viewing their wedding photography. I have been  lucky to achieve many of my bookings through referrals from previous happy customers.

I  am a Chester based wedding photographer, however I provide wedding photography across the whole of Cheshire, the North West and North Wales.
