Ruthin Castle holds a very special place in my heart, as it is where I got married to my wonderful husband. As a venue, it is grand, historic, brilliantly run and has a touch of magic as you wander through the Castle & the grounds. Photographing a wedding here is an absolute pleasure. The interior of the Castle & the grounds are full of points of interest and spectacular colours & shapes.

I photographed Victoria & Dave's beautiful September wedding at Ruthin Castle. The day started at Victoria's parent's house with the bridal preparations running smoothly & everyone having a fabulous time. Once Victoria was in her dress, I made my way to the Church for the ceremony, The stunning Marble Church in Bodelwyddan is where the happy couple were married. The sun shined down bright upon the guests & the happy couple & the Church was absolutely beautiful. We had a few group photos outside this historic church & a fab confetti tunnel before we made our way over to Ruthin Castle to carry on the celebrations. 

 

After some time enjoying their drinks reception & their guests company, we went for a little walk around the Castle & it's grounds & had lots of fun taking couple portraits, making the most of the awesome castle grounds. The evening celebrations were packed. With Balloon animals, face paints, sweets galore, giant Jenga & a few celebratory cigars in the gardens overlooking the moat. I love this venue & love photographing here.
